Balloon Fiesta - The Albuquerque International Ballon Fiesta.  Albuquerque's single largest annual event with hundreds of balloonists from all over the world.  If you only come to Albuquerque once in your life, this is the time to be here.  Find hotels in and around Albuquerque's Balloon Fiesta Park, visit the Anderson-Abruzzo Balloon Albuquerque International Balloon Museum.
Journal Center - The Albuquerque Journal's headquarters and business center.  This area is also close to the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta in a relaxing area of town for visitors who want to see everything Albuqueqrue has to offer.  As close to halfway between the Airport and Santa Fe as you can get and still be close to Old Town, Albuqueqrue Museums, the Indian Publo Cultural Center, the Tramway and all Albuquerque Malls.
Downtown - The heart of modern day Albuquerque and the center of city, state and federal government as well as the center of commerce.  Downtown is also close to the University of New Mexico, Presbyterian Main Hospital, and the Lovelace Heart Hospital.  Downtown also has a vibrant nightlife with plenty of bars, clubs, lounges, love performance venues and equidistant between the historic Old Town Plaza and Nob Hill's historic Route 66 architecture.
Old Town - Step back in time to the days of the first european settlers in Albuquerque's Old Town.  See the shops in the Old Town Plaza, listen to mariachi music and enjoy lunch or dinner at Old Town Restaurants, stop for drinks at the High Noon Saloon, tour the nearly 300 year old San Felipe De Niri Church, and stop by Albuquerque's Museum of Art and History, New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science and Planetarium, Explora - a hands on museum for children, The American International Rattlesnake Museum, and the Turquise Museum.
Midtown - Midway between Downtown and Uptown and close to the University of New Mexico.  Follow this link for Midtown Hotels, Restaurants, with viewable menus, customer reviews and more.
Uptown - Stay in Albuquerque Uptown, the retail and financial district near Park Square Towers on the east side of the Rio Grande.  Shop til you drop at ABQ Uptown, upscale retail, Coronado Center, and Winrock Mall.  Then take a break for lunch and choose from a variety of foods at Uptown Restaurants before visiting  Winrock 6 UA/Regal movie theater.  You'll also find the National Museum of Atomic History
Tribal Resorts - Is Gambling your forte?  Albuquerque's rich Native American culture also provides for modern day resort hotels, spas, golf courses and Class III gaming at the outskirts of the city.  Choose from the Sandia Resort and Casino, Isleta's Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, Santa Ana's Hyatt Tamaya Resort and Spa or Laguna Pueblo's Route 66 Casino and Hotel.
Airport - The Albuquerque International Sunport.  If you're in town for overnight business, this is the place to be with convenient ground transportation from the Albuquerque International Sunport to other areas in Albuquerue listed below.
